Welcome to PortFashions Community!
PortFashions was born after 20yrs of seeing patients (or me) trying to yank or pull the shirt open so I can access the port. And after the port was accessed , the IV line would kink or "occlude" while bending 180 degree to come out of the shirts. I did see one young man just decided to go bare-chested the entire treatment. I said to myself, there must be shirts out there designed for port access and usage. After some market research, to my surprise, there were few out there. And what was there, really was not functional from a RN's stand point. One shirt you basically have to leave the "flap" down the entire time. It looked silly to me.
After speaking with many fellow MDs and RNs. So here we are, pouring in our 20+ year of knowledge and experience. Designed what we think would work best for our beloved patients who need port access.
Please share your experience with all of us in the "Port Community".
